Da Pino

After a week of enjoying the delicious Spanish cuisine in the sunny Costa Brava in Spain we definatly missed the flavour of the gorgeous food that the local kitchen had to offer. We fell in love with tasty seafood Paella so once we were back in the rainy Ireland I wondered if we could find anything similar here.I googled ''Best Paella in Dublin'' and thats how i found the restaurant Da Pino.
The location of the restaurant is perfect. If your walking from Trinity College towards the Christchurch you'll find it on the righthand side of the road accross from the AIB Bank or Da Pino is right on the corner of the Parliament street, depends which direction you are coming from.
We were both excited as we got there. The waiter ( a nice spanish/italian fella) led us to our table and brought us the menus. We knew exactly what we wanted but still had a look at the menu to see what else they offer. They have a large variety of pastas and pizzas, seafood, stakes, salads, etc. There is definatly something for everyone.
They also have an impressive cocktail list (everything was 7 euros).Something nice to have while waiting for your dinner.
Ok ,i have to say i was emotionally moved when the food was served. It was exactly like in spain. Paella was served on the pan.The smell took me rightback to our holidays and awakened all the memories. If anyone would ask me to rate the paella i would give the maximum points.
The staff was very proffessional and polite. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and relaxed. You could see that everyone was having a good time and enjoying their food.
We have been back to Da Pino several times after that. From Monday to Thursday they have an offer where you get a salad, paella and wine for 21.90 per person (min 2 people).
For us Da Pino is a special place where to go and we always go for Paella accompanied by Sangria.A real flashback to our holidays!
We've seen the meals other people have had and they all looked delicious. The portions are huge.
The last time we went to Da Pino we celebrated the beginning of our summerholidays. So before going to the airport we went for a dinner in Da Pino.We had our two big suitcases with us and the staff politely took care of them.
Da Pino offers both Italian and Spanish food and we deffinatly reccommend Da Pino. We always book the table in advance. Enjoy your meal :)

Had a meal for two in Da Pino, lunch portions are very small, it's cheap though I would prefer a better quality and pay just a bit more. Service ok.

I disagree with the above comment on the basis of the countless experiences I have encounteres in Da Pino. The service is efficient and non- in trusive which I like. The food is certainly amazing, authentic, fresh and always well presented.

I can say that this is one of the worst restaurants in Dublin.. People working there is soooo rude... I would recommend you to find another place if you are planning to have a dinner in Da Pino...
