My wife and myself recently went for a saturday night meal in Bleu.I must say that the menu looked impressive and I awaited my food with anticipation. I will only review the food i tasted myself, having an Asparagus starter ,i was served 4 pieces of asparagus with egg and to say it was overcooked was an understatement , very limp.

My main cours of fish and chips arrived , this was the smallest portion of fish (cod) and six chips, (i kid you not 6 chips) i ever seen. When i spoke to the waitress , she insisted if i ate it she would bring me another piece of fish when i was finished.?

I had taken my complaint away from the table and the waitress insisted on making a fuss at the table and insisted i get more fish when i was finished, as i deserved it ?. During this time (about 5 mins of saying i did not want more when i was finished ,there was no sign of the manager whom i was then informed upon asking was feet away at the time.

my piece of fish was nice , but tiny and as for the 6 chips ,

I really feel this was the most overpriced meal i ever had

Bleu Bistro Moderne in Dawson Street in Dublin is a terrific venue for a stylish lunch in contemporary surroundings. Interesting menu, good wines, excellent service and good portion sizes, made it a memorable occasion. None of our party (12 in total), had any negative comments about their meals, only that some were too full to manage 3 courses! Our attentive and relaxed waiting staff were also happy to ensure that there were 2 taxis waiting outside at the time we wanted to move on. Excellent!
